I have a piece of paper that says I completed a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Tuskegee University, but I don't use that much. I can’t stop moving to new countries. I may have a slight addiction. I’ve lived and taught in Italy, Senegal, South Korea & the BEAUTIFUL tropical island of Haiti.

 

After teaching abroad for three years I quit my job to go in a completely different direction. I wanted location independence and to be able to travel... more. I spent a year freelancing and slow traveling through México and Costa Rica. This time showed me that the fast paced digital nomad lifestyle was not for me, but I'm glad I got to spend a year trying it out. Freelancing also gave me the freedom to try a lot of different jobs and figure out what I really want to do professionally.

 

A year of freelancing gave me the experience and skills to transition into a full time position. I decided to move into a different industry again and successfully broke into the Marketing and Communications Industry. Now, I’m working remotely, full time and just moved to Canada! I'm working completely from my computer while enjoying this new country I get to call home.

 

Traveling and working abroad became my life since finishing undergrad and opened my eyes to a lifestyle I didn’t even know was possible. Slow traveling the world and experiencing other cultures is what I live for. I've worked in 8 countries on four continents and I’m not done yet. I live life by the seat of my pants and follow opportunities. It hasn't failed me yet & I'm enjoying every second of it. 

 

I finally decided to take that leap of faith and launch my platform, Joyriding With Jash, in 2020. I show the REAL of life abroad: good, bad and ugly. Sometimes I’m posting about paradise and sometimes I gotta talk my shit. That’s what I like to call balance. I also help others move abroad by providing resources, offering advice, and creating guides on how you can take that leap into living and traveling abroad.
