I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list. So how'd I chose South Korea out of literally the whole world???
•
Having English as a first language & an American passport opens up a plethora of opportunities (#grateful). English teachers are in high demand in damn near every country. Sooooo why South Korea?

You can literally find information about teaching English all over the world just by searching: Teaching English in *insert country*. I watched videos and read articles about teaching in Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and even North America (i.e Mexico). I found a great video on the top 21 places to teach English abroad broken down into different categories like pay and lifestyle.

South Korea kept coming up in the conversation. The pay for English teachers in South Korea is one of the highest especially when compared to cost of living. Be sure to check the perks of your job offer to see what's included. You might be flying for free.

Despite popular belief, South Korea is a very safe place to be. Ain't nobody worried about our neighbors to the North 🙄 I literally see kids no more than 6 or 7 walking around town like it’s normal. Where ya momma nem? On top of that things are very advanced in regards to technology and there are plenty of foreigners (me) around.

Truth be told I wasn't dead set on coming to Korea, but I did have a good feeling about making the move. I interviewed with schools in South Korea, Japan, the Maldives, Thailand, Taiwan & more. There was just something telling me South Korea was the move & now I'm joyriding in Gunsan 🤪
